Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) co-founder Steve Jobs is one of 17 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, successful the prestigious decoration for his impression on numerous industries, the White Household explained on Friday.

The Medal of Freedom, routinely awarded to persons “who have created exemplary contributions,” is the country’s maximum civilian award.

The other 11 recipients are: Sister Simone Campbell, Julieta García, Fred Gray, Father Alexander Karloutsos, Khizr Khan, Sandra Lindsay, Diane Nash, previous Sen. Alan Simpson, Richard Trumka, Wilma Vaught and Raúl Yzaguirre.

The White House added that the awards will be presented on July 7, 2022.
