I’ve been ordered to scrap my caravan home after neighbours moaned I rent out my £170k house – I’ve done nothing wrong


A Girl dubbed the “neighbour from hell” has been purchased to scrap her static residence immediately after several years of fury from nearby people.

She had earlier used a shipping container as a makeshift extension to the residence in Swindon, Wilts., with neighbours fuming the established-up – along with two caravans – experienced turned their street into a “traveller camp”.

Swindon Borough Council told the court the transfer broke a number of covenants which set out what can and are not able to be performed with the land.

Council prosecutor Daryl Bigwood reported the property are not able to be made use of to induce annoyance to the council or neighbours, though no framework is to be erected without the need of council authorization.

He also claimed no caravan ought to be parked on the residence, other than in a position permitted by the council.

“The issue is, [my wife] has misinterpreted the law. It could have been dealt with a great deal otherwise.

“She made available to set a fence up there, it would have been fenced off and you wouldn’t see anything at all – but the council would not allow for it.

“I know Lillie’s not excellent, but it could have been solved completely in different ways had people appear up to her and spoken to her generally.”

Lord Goddard claimed Lillie’s mum will be moved to one more of their properties in Swindon at the time the caravan has gone.

And the coach driver claims the only “nightmare neighbour” in his street is the girl who constantly reviews everything he and his wife get up to.

Councillor Gary Sumner, the cupboard member for strategic infrastructure, transportation and preparing, said: “I am actually delighted the courtroom supported our software for an injunction as the caravan, and container prior to it, had been resulting in serious difficulties for regional residents.

“This has been a very long, drawn out course of action which has been likely on for several yrs and it is a disgrace we have had to go down the lawful route to have the caravan taken off.
