Neil Patrick Harris apologizes for Amy Winehouse corpse decoration used in 2011 party

Actor Neil Patrick Harris apologized for a serving platter he had built to seem like the corpse on Amy Winehouse in 2011 following pictures of the decoration resurfaced on social media.

Harris told Enjoyment Weekly that his conclusion to include things like a platter that looked like Winehouse’s corpse was “regrettable.”

“A photo lately resurfaced from a Halloween-themed party my partner and I hosted 11 yrs ago,” Harris explained in the statement. “It was regrettable then, and it continues to be regrettable now. Amy Winehouse was a the moment-in-a-era expertise, and I’m sorry for any hurt this graphic brought on.”

Winehouse died at age 27 of liquor poisoning in July of 2011, just months right before Harris integrated the decoration at a Halloween celebration he threw with his husband David Burtka.

The graphic of the decoration, which appears to reveals what Winehouse’s decomposing corpse would search like, recently resurfaced on Twitter.

Though numerous termed it an “Amy Winehouse cake,” the decoration has a note, which reads “The Corpse of Amy Winehouse” and describes different meats in the platter.

As the impression circulated on social media, buyers expressed disgust at the concept her death would be employed as a joke.
